Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, has bagged seven nominations for the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards.
The African Giant crooner tied DJ Khaled for the third most nominations behind Drake (9) and Cardi B and 21 Savage who led the nominees with 12 nods each.
Burna Boy in the process made history as the first African to be nominated in the Artiste of the Year category at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
He would battle the category with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, 21 Savage, Drake, Cardi B and others.
The 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards will tape in Atlanta on Tuesday, October 3, and will premiere on BET one week later, on Tuesday, October 10
