NIGERIAN JUDICIAL COUNCIL COMMENCES SCREENING OF 22 JUSTICES FOR SUPREME COURT VACANCIES

The Nigerian Judicial Council (NJC) has commenced a rigorous screening process for 22 nominated justices aiming to occupy vacant seats on the Supreme Court Bench.
According to reports, the high-stakes evaluations are underway at the NJC’s boardroom, with several justices already present for this critical phase.
The panel’s intense deliberations are anticipated to span a week, culminating in the final selection of 11 justices from among the 22 nominees.
The nominees include multiple justices from various states within the South-East, South-West, South-South, North-Central, North-East, and North-West regions, showcasing a concerted effort to ensure national representation.
