OSIMHEN MAY START AGAINST REAL MADRID

Despite coming on as a second-half substitute in Napoli’s 2-1 victory over Atalanta last weekend, Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen is set to be handed a starting role by coach Walter Mazzarri when the Italian champions face Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League today.
According to the projected lineup released ahead of today’s encounter, Osimhen is poised to replace Giacomo Raspadori in the starting XI at the Bernabéu.
Osimhen, who played without his protective mask for the first time last weekend, played a pivotal role in Napoli’s triumph over Atalanta and is reportedly highly regarded by Mazzarri, who has expressed his faith in the Nigerian striker’s abilities.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has acknowledged their determination to top the group despite the numerous injuries that have affected his squad.
