The Federal Government has unveiled plans to enhance interagency coordination and deepen community engagement as central pillars of the revised National Counter-Terrorism Strategy 2025.
At a validation workshop in Abuja, National Coordinator of the National Counter-Terrorism Centre, Major General Adamu Laka, emphasized the strategy’s focus on a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach, incorporating prevention, resilience, and inclusivity.
The review, which began in February, included broad stakeholder consultations to ensure the strategy is practical and aligns with global standards.
Director of Policy and Strategy, Commodore Ahmad Madawaki, highlighted the importance of grassroots participation and international cooperation in effectively combating terrorism.
