The Super Falcons of Nigeria have booked their place at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco with a dominant 7-1 aggregate victory over Cape Verde. This triumph was confirmed with a thrilling 2-1 comeback win in Praia, following their convincing 5-0 drubbing of Cape Verde in the first leg held in Abuja.
Despite facing an early scare when Ivania Moreira put Cape Verde ahead in the eighth minute, the Super Falcons remained resilient and composed. Their unwavering determination was rewarded when they found an equalizer, extinguishing any hopes of a Cape Verdean comeback.
