In a significant step towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, the Federal Government has launched the Startup Support and Engagement Portal. This portal, a cornerstone of the Nigeria Startup Act implementation, aims to streamline the identification and aggregation of startups across the country.
The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, announced the portal’s launch, emphasizing its role in enabling the government to establish startup consultative forums. These forums will serve as platforms for selecting representatives to the National Council for Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship, facilitating constructive dialogue and consensus-building among ecosystem stakeholders.
The establishment of the Startup Support and Engagement Portal represents a crucial step forward in fostering a thriving startup ecosystem within Nigeria. By centralizing startup information and facilitating communication, the portal will empower both startups and government agencies to collaborate effectively in driving innovation and economic growth.
The portal’s launch aligns with the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting digital transformation and fostering a conducive environment for startups to thrive. By streamlining processes and facilitating collaboration, the portal is expected to play a pivotal role in propelling Nigeria’s startup ecosystem to new heights.
