The Kano state police command has reacted to the planned protests by supporters of both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) on Friday, November 24 and Saturday, November 25.
In a press statement sent to journalists today, the police command advised Kano residents to remain patriotic and avoid engaging in any form of unlawful gathering, protests or processions.
The statement noted any such gathering has the tendency to trigger violence in the state.
The police further assured residents that adequate security arrangements had been put in place to protect lives and properties.
