PERUZZI VOWS NO COLLABORATION WITH KIZZ DANIEL AFTER BITTER SONG DISPUTE

Written by on December 18, 2023

Nigerian singer Peruzzi has dropped a bombshell, declaring he may never work with Kizz Daniel again due to a sour collaboration gone wrong. Their joint effort, a song titled “Gwagwalada,” has become a point of contention, with Peruzzi feeling slighted by Kizz Daniel’s decision to pass it on to another artist, BNXN (formerly Buju).

The issue stems from Kizz Daniel allegedly not consulting Peruzzi before releasing the song with BNXN and Seyi Vibez. In an interview, Peruzzi expressed his frustration, stating, “He [Kizz Daniel] and I made ‘Gwagwalada’ together… He sent me the song there, and I went home.” Hearing “Gwagwalada” later as another artist’s track was a clear disappointment for Peruzzi, leading to his public declaration of a potential permanent professional separation.

This incident sheds light on the often intricate and sometimes volatile dynamics within the music industry, where creative ownership and collaboration can become thorny issues. It also raises questions about transparency and communication within artistic partnerships.

Whether “Gwagwalada” becomes a hit with its new artists remains to be seen, but the fallout between Peruzzi and Kizz Daniel leaves a mark on their musical relationship. Only time will tell if reconciliation and future collaborations are possible, or if this marks the end of a potentially fruitful creative partnership.
