ZENITH BANK APPOINTS ADAORA UMEOJI AS GROUP CEO

Zenith Bank Plc has announced the appointment of  as its Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective June 1, 2024, pending approval by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

The appointment was disclosed in a statement released to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and signed by Michael Osilama Otu, the Company Secretary of Zenith Bank Plc. Dr. Umeoji will succeed Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, whose tenure concludes on May 31, 2024.

This decision aligns with Zenith Bank’s longstanding tradition and strategic approach to leadership succession, emphasizing the cultivation of talent from within the organization.

Dr. Umeoji brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served as the Deputy Managing Director of Zenith Bank since October 28, 2016. With nearly three decades of banking expertise, of which twenty-six years have been dedicated to Zenith Bank, she is well-equipped to lead the institution into its next phase of growth and development.
