Gunmen have reportedly killed 13 people working on their farms in the Anguwan Mai-Giro community, located in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Deputy Governor of Niger State, Yakubu Garba, condemned the attack, describing it as “satanic, insensible, atrocious, and callous.”Garba expressed his deep sorrow over the event, stating that it is “utterly appalling and deeply disturbing” to witness such a “barbaric and vicious act” committed against fellow human beings.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the residents of the affected area, and the broader Shiroro community, emphasizing the state’s commitment to addressing such violent acts.
