Vice President Kashim Shettima has declared that Nigeria will no longer accept the dehumanisation or mistreatment of its citizens in South Africa.

Speaking in Luanda, Angola, on Monday before returning home, Shettima said Nigeria remains committed to resolving issues through dialogue but will firmly reject any attacks on the dignity and safety of Nigerians.
He recalled Nigeria’s role in the struggle against apartheid and expressed pain that Nigerians are now being humiliated, while urging South African authorities to protect lives and uphold human dignity when enforcing immigration rules.
